This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the cancellation, refund, and payment-related terms applicable to services provided by EditoreX Media (“EditoreX”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Policy applies together with our Terms & Conditions, project quotation, proposal, scope of work, and any other written project agreement applicable to the Client’s project.
A Client may request cancellation of a project within 2 hours of making the advance payment, provided that production has not yet started.
Where both conditions are satisfied:
the advance payment may be refunded in full.
The refund will normally be processed using the same or a reasonably suitable payment method used for the original transaction, subject to payment-provider processing times.
Once the 2-hour cancellation period has expired, the advance payment is generally non-refundable.
This applies even where production has not yet started, because the advance may be allocated toward project scheduling, resources, team availability, planning, and project preparation.
Once EditoreX has started production, the advance payment is generally non-refundable.
Production may include activities such as:
Where significant work has already been completed, cancellation does not automatically create a right to a refund.
Where the Client chooses to stop a project after the applicable cancellation window, any amount already paid will generally remain non-refundable.
Any unpaid amount relating to work already completed or approved may remain payable.
EditoreX may provide completed or partially completed work where appropriate and commercially reasonable, subject to payment of amounts due and the applicable project terms.
A change of mind, change in creative preference, change in business plans, change in content strategy, or decision not to publish/use the completed work does not automatically qualify for a refund.
Where the Client changes the project requirements after approval, EditoreX may treat the change as:
depending on the extent of the requested change.
Refunds will generally not be issued because a Client requests work beyond the originally agreed scope.
Examples may include:
Additional work may require additional payment before production begins.
Revision allowances are determined by the applicable quotation, package, or project agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed, individual projects generally include up to 2 revision rounds.
Revision requests are not treated as cancellation requests.
Additional revision rounds may be separately charged.
A substantial change in concept or creative direction may be treated as a new project or additional paid work rather than a normal revision.
If EditoreX makes a genuine production mistake compared with the approved project scope, EditoreX will make a reasonable correction without an additional editing charge.
Examples may include:
Such corrections should generally be reported within 7 days of final delivery.
A correction request is not a refund request.
The standard correction window is 7 days after final delivery.
During this period, EditoreX may correct genuine EditoreX-side production errors at no additional editing charge.
The 7-day correction window does not cover:
After the correction period expires, the project may be considered officially closed.
Where the Client delays providing:
the delivery timeline may be extended accordingly.
Client delay does not automatically create a refund entitlement.
Where a delay materially affects the project schedule, EditoreX may reschedule the project based on current production availability.
If the Client does not provide required feedback, files, approvals, communication, or other required information for 30 consecutive days, EditoreX may treat the project as inactive, abandoned, or closed.
In such circumstances:
This provision remains subject to applicable law and any separate written agreement.
Where the Client does not pay an amount when due, EditoreX may:
Final watermark-free, high-resolution deliverables will generally not be provided while the applicable final payment remains outstanding.
The standard payment structure for individual projects is generally:
50% advance before production.
50% balance before final high-resolution delivery.
The final balance is not automatically refundable merely because the Client chooses not to use, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit the completed work after production.
Where an approved project has been completed according to the agreed scope, payment remains due regardless of the Client’s subsequent publishing or business decisions, subject to applicable law.
While payment remains outstanding, EditoreX may provide only:
The final high-resolution, watermark-free deliverable is generally provided only after full and cleared payment.
A Client’s decision not to proceed after receiving a review preview does not automatically create a refund right.
Source or editable project files are not included by default.
This includes, where applicable:
The absence of source-file delivery does not constitute grounds for a refund where final deliverables have been supplied according to the agreed scope.
Source files may be purchased or provided separately where agreed.
Where a project requires additional third-party assets, licences, premium stock, exclusive resources, specialised services, or other unusual external costs outside the agreed scope, the Client may be required to approve and pay such costs separately.
Once a third-party purchase or licence has been made specifically for the Client’s approved project, the related amount may be non-refundable where the third-party provider does not provide a refund or cancellation option.
Rush projects may involve additional charges.
Once rush production has been approved and scheduled, the rush fee may be non-refundable where EditoreX has reserved production resources or commenced priority work.
Any cancellation of a rush project will be handled according to the applicable project circumstances and these Terms.
Where the Client receives a 50% OFF FIRST EDIT promotional offer, the discount applies only to the qualifying project specified by EditoreX.
The promotional discount:
If the qualifying project is cancelled after the applicable refund window or after production has started, the promotional offer does not create a separate cash-refund obligation.
Where a Client accidentally makes a duplicate payment or pays more than the amount due, EditoreX may refund the verified excess amount after confirming the transaction.
Refunds may be subject to applicable payment-provider processing timelines.
Where a payment is reported as unauthorised, fraudulent, reversed, charged back, or disputed, EditoreX may temporarily suspend the related project and/or delivery while the payment issue is investigated.
Where a payment dispute is resolved in favour of EditoreX, applicable amounts may remain due.
The Client should contact EditoreX first regarding genuine payment issues so that they can be reviewed and resolved where possible.
Where a refund is approved, the amount actually returned may be affected by payment-provider processing, currency conversion, transaction charges, or other unavoidable third-party fees where applicable and legally permissible.
EditoreX will communicate any material deduction before processing the refund where reasonably practicable.
A cancellation or refund request should be sent to:
Email: hi@editorex.com
The request should include:
EditoreX may request additional information to verify the payment and project.
Where EditoreX approves a refund, the refund will generally be initiated after verification of the applicable transaction and project status.
The time taken for the amount to appear in the Client’s account may depend on the relevant bank, payment platform, payment method, currency, and financial institution.
EditoreX is not responsible for delays caused solely by third-party payment processors or financial institutions.
A Client’s decision not to use, publish, upload, distribute, monetise, or otherwise use completed work does not automatically create a refund right.
The service is based on production work performed according to the approved scope rather than on whether the Client ultimately uses the resulting content.
Where a project is closed because of prolonged Client inactivity, failure to provide required information, failure to make required payment, or other Client-side circumstances, previously paid amounts are generally non-refundable.
If the Client later wishes to restart the project, EditoreX may require:
A project may be considered complete when:
Once the project is considered complete, subsequent new creative work is generally treated as a new request and is separately chargeable.
Requests made after project completion for:
are generally new services and are not covered by the original project payment or refund policy.
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to remove, restrict, or override any refund, cancellation, consumer, or other legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where applicable law provides a mandatory right or remedy, that right or remedy will continue to apply.
EditoreX may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, payment processes, business practices, or applicable requirements.
The latest version will be published on this website together with its effective date and last-updated date.
Changes generally apply prospectively unless otherwise required by applicable law.
